What Activities Are Offered at the Euless Recreation Center?

The Euless Family Life Center is one of the city's main recreation facilities, offering activities and amenities for children, adults, families and seniors. Located at 300 W. Midway Drive, the facility combines fitness, sports, swimming and community programs under one roof.

1. Basketball

The Recreation Center has a large gymnasium with a full basketball court that can be divided into two cross courts. Bleachers are available along one side of the gym, making it suitable for recreational games and organized activities.

Basketball is a good option for visitors who want an indoor activity, particularly during hot Texas summers.

2. Walking and Indoor Track

An elevated track runs around the upper portion of the gymnasium. Members can use it for walking or running, providing an indoor alternative when the weather is too hot, cold or rainy for outdoor exercise.

3. Racquetball

The center has two racquetball courts. Members can reserve courts online in advance, with reservations available up to 48 hours ahead.

Racquetball offers a fast-paced workout and is a fun choice for playing with friends or family.

4. Fitness and Exercise

The Family Life Center includes a 5,000-square-foot fitness center with cardio equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines, stair steppers and stationary bikes. It also provides free weights and weight machines.

Meeting rooms at the facility are also used for various fitness classes and activities for adults and children.

5. Swimming and Aquatic Activities

Swimming is another major activity at the Family Life Center. The Natatorium is open year-round and includes three lap lanes, a resistance river, a slide and a splash-play area. It offers open swimming, adult swimming, swim lessons and water-based exercise classes.

The facility's aquatic programming can include activities such as Water Aerobics, Aqua Zumba, Arthritic Aerobics and swim lessons, depending on the current schedule.

6. Youth Activities

Euless Parks and Community Services offers a range of youth programs and activities through its recreation system. The online activity system includes youth programs alongside adult, aquatic and senior programming.

Activities can change throughout the year, so families should check the current recreation schedule before visiting.

7. Senior Activities

The Family Life Center also includes a 22,000-square-foot Senior Center with educational, recreational and social activities for adults aged 60 and older. Recent programming has included activities such as cooking, art, pool-table tournaments, mosaics, social gatherings and special events.
